Specialty small batch chutney
Make every bite a lil’ sweet & sassy
S.A. Braai is now Mamá Fuerte!
If you’ve been looking for us, our brand has emerged with a new direction to bring back everyone’s favorite chutney!
The condiment that’s down for anything
Sweet & Sassy is a small batch peach and apricot chutney that hits the palate sweet and tangy, with a little spice at the end. It’s diverse enough to work in everything from dinner to desert as a topping, dip, spread, marinade, or the finishing touch to any recipe.
Small batch.
Big attitude.
To consistently deliver its unmatched flavor, we prepare Sweet & Sassy in small batches by slow cooking vinegar, fruit, onions, and spices together until they reduce into a thick, richly-flavored jam-like spread.

Mamá said it’d be like this
Your dish is cleared first at every party, because you leveled up your recipes with a little more sweetness, tang, and heat. Once you added chutney, they stopped being sides and started being the reasons people RSVP to the next invite. You’ve learned to make something that’s not just for everyone to eat, but for everyone to remember.
Only the best for Mamá
All natural. No preservatives or sulfites.
Fruit
Dried peaches, apricots, and apples are used to concentrate flavor and avoid excess water.
Onions
Onions are cut fresh for every batch and cooked down slowly to bring out their natural sugars.
Spices
Our premium spice blend nods to traditional chutney flavors while kicking them up a notch.
From our cultures to yours
Mamá Fuerte was born to bring food from our family’s cultures to everyone’s table. Chutney is one of the rare beloved items that the US has been missing out on until now.
Chutney originated in India and has been shaped by global influences ever since. It’s become a staple across the world, from the middle east to England in the west and down to South Africa, where fruit-based chutneys are considered a kitchen essential not an occasional treat.
